If you’re interested in getting involved in assisting the people of Congo, here are a few starting points. We’ll keep adding more, and we invite you to suggest any that you’re aware of.
Visit our website: www.paulcarlson.org. If you like what we’re doing, money is not the only thing we need. We do send volunteer teams of carefully selected individuals over to Congo for 1-2 weeks to carry out particular projects there.
Consider joining advocacy movements on behalf of the people of Congo. Here are three organizations that are doing a good job of issue awareness:
Enough: The project to end genocide and crimes against humanity. Focuses on conflict areas in the world, with options for action.
Human Rights Watch. Major international advocacy organization, with news and options for action in each region where HRW is at work.
Raise Hope for Congo. Information and advocacy campaign related to the Enough Project, specifically focused on women in Congo.
